INSET INSIGHT

Considered a premium look, inset construction features the cabinet doors and drawer fronts set inset the front frame, creating a flush, handcrafted appearance. Hinges are concealed or hidden, but you may also opt for upgraded “faux finial” exposed hinges, for an extra cost.

Greenfield Cabinetry offers FOUR inset choices. There is no difference in the performance of these inset types; it’s all about how you want your cabinet fronts to look.

  1. Beaded Inset- A subtle beaded, molding detail around the door and drawer front lends a traditional feel to this type of inset.
  2. Coventry Inset- This isn’t your regular beaded inset. Coventry inset has a thicker, more pronounced bead around the frame.
  3. ER (1/8” round over) Inset- Soft and subtle, this inset type is ideal for painted cabinetry. Similar to SR Inset, without the sharper corners.
  4. SR (1/16” round over) Inset- Flush, clean and modern, this is the simplest inset look out of the four.
