Acrylic material is a Medium Density Fibercore substrate, with a permanently fused acrylic outer layer. The acrylic components feature an ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) colored layer, which is permanently fused with a clear, ultra-high gloss acrylic top layer. An engineered core provides a stable, consistent substrate, virtually eliminating warping. Acrylic material is scratch resistant, not scratch proof.
Pro tip: if you have or want Acrylic in your kitchen, ask your designer about our heat shields. These are especially important for appliances radiating heat.
