Greenfield designer, Laura Moloney-Grelli of Kitchens Galore, Millbrae, California, shares her inspirations for a new project.

Laura says, “This client was going for contemporary cabin look. It’s a rustic kitchen with a contemporary feel.”

Well Laura, you nailed it.

To create this kitchen, Laura used Greenfield Cabinetry in the August A transitional door style, featuring Benjamin Moore® green Chimichurri paint for the perimeter cabinets (cabinets along the walls). She then used a contrasting Red Oak material for the island, featuring the Greenfield Breakwater stain. Breakwater is a grey-beige value, which is very popular among today’s designers.

“The oak and the dark green invoke a woodsy and natural look,” notes Laura.

Complementing the cabinets are Carrara marble tops, Boomerang Gloss White backsplash tile in a modern cubist-style pattern, and a Natural Aged Brass lighting fixture.

“The kitchen is then topped off with brassy hardware for a touch of bling,” Laura adds. Who doesn’t want a bit of bling?
